LINOCUT DEFINED

In this process. A sheet of linoleum, or block, is used for the production of the print. The sheet is cut or gouged removing the areas that will not print. The remaining block is then inked using a roller. Paper is laid over the block and the back of the paper is either rubbed with a brayer or the paper and block can be passed through a hand press to transfer the image.
